With a full moon and a pretty strong breeze out of the northeast, I didn’t have much confidence in this being too great a day on the Columbia – wrong. Paterson smallmouth turned it on for me today. A lot of really nice smallies. Best five at 21.3. Reaction baits (red/copper) in 2 to 4 ft. A couple of 3 lb largemouth to boot. Only about 18 inches visibility, so bouncing crankbaits off the rocks was all that was needed. I need to quit predicting catches based on weather and just go fish.
